Company of Artists Update
Our tour of I’m an Artist, let me in! at the end of 2011 was a huge success. Audiences were treated to a showcase of dance, drama, comedy and magic. It was a challenging tour but our Company of Artists with learning disabilities rose up to it and gave their all. We hit 7 schools and 3 arts venues across the capital reaching diverse audiences. Thanks to everyone who came along to see it. Here’s what you thought:
I found it beautiful and inspirational
I loved how the performances were personal passions. The artists made pieces that were truthful – that is always the best theatre
All the performances were extremely inspiring
Our Company of Artists aged 60+ were also busy at the end of the year, with new people joining and new work being created. The Company used interesting objects to inspire beautiful, moving and funny stories.
