New Team Members
Over the last few months we have been delighted to bring on board an Outreach Associate and an Administration Assistant.
Claire Taylor is Spare Tyre’s Outreach Associate and began the role in April this year. Claire organises Outreach Workshops across London, with older people and adults with learning disabilities. The workshops sometimes take place at day centres and residential homes and sometimes take place at arts centres. Claire builds and maintains relationships with our arts and community partners and workshop participants.
Claire has been working with Spare Tyre for many years in different roles including support worker, workshop leader, and Go inc to work Co-ordinator. Claire has worked with people with disabilities for over thirteen years and brings a wealth of experience to the company. She is also a workshop leader and has a background of performance, drama and singing.
Ellie Shipman is Spare Tyre’s Administration Assistant, and has been with us since May. Ellie assists with the general administration of the company, volunteer coordination, tour-booking, marketing, and monitoring.
Ellie was previously an intern with Spare Tyre, and during her internship she helped us to recruit more people to Spare Tyre’s Company of Artists, and to develop a new way of measuring the impact of our workshops. She is now a paid member of staff and brings her organisation, marketing and design skills to Spare Tyre. Ellie has just graduated from a Fine Art degree at Chelsea where she focussed on socially engaged and community-based art.
