Read all about it! Still Life Dreaming!
Spare Tyre is back from the Fringe and Still Life Dreaming has finished dreaming for now.
Performing at the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time in 20 years had its trials and tribulations, but the show was a massive success. Squarely placing the voices of older people on a main stage at the festival, the older cast performed to large audiences everyday. They beautifully told the scientific and human stories of the Lothian Birth Cohort 1936 and cognitive ageing.
After the second performance of Still Life Dreaming Dr Amy Sanders of the Wellcomme Trust chaired a Q&A session with Arti Prashar (Director), Pete Lawson (Writer), Frederick Lowrie (Lothian Birth Cohort 1936 Member), Jim Mulligan (Cast Member) and Professor Ian Deary (Director of the University of Edinburgh Centre for Cognitive Ageing and Cognitive Epidemiology).
The play attracted interest from the press, including some excellent reviews, and it was featured on the BBC’s Newsnight Review. You can click on the links below to read the reviews and watch the feature.
