Spare Tyre’s opinions in print
With a new government, new funding frameworks, new policy and new initiatives such as The Big Society, things are changing fast in the participatory arts world.
At Spare Tyre we’re being asked our opinion more and more about the changes taking place, and we’re keen to put forward our opinions and ideas, making sure we having our own voice heard, just as we enable the voices of the communities we work with to be heard.
We jumped at the chance to write articles for two important magazines within the sector. You can download them below.
Bonnie Mitchell, General Manager at Spare Tyre, wrote an article for Arts Professional magazine about changing the way that we talk about participatory arts, and the values that it should be measured against.

Arti Prashar, Artistic Director / CEO at Spare Tyre, together with Bonnie, wrote an article for NCA News (National Campaign for the Arts) about The Big Society, and what it actually means for small community organisations.
